MBH girths are hand cut from 1st grade vegetable tanned Hermann Oak leather in a dark natural colour.
Hermann Oak® saddle skirting leathers are the most popular choice for custom saddle makers. It is used world-wide for saddles, stirrup leathers and or anywhere a heavier leather is required - hence why I chose it for my girths
The wool felt liner (which is the same wool as my felt saddle pads, not the crunchy stuff you find in factory made products!) is attached with velcro, which means it can be taken off and washed (or simply thrown out!) without impacting the leather or having to buy a whole new one!
The girth also comes with a spare liner in a colour of your choice! So ... you could have chocolate marle for a work liner and cream for competition, or one to match each horse or saddle pad!! Please comment at checkout which two wool liner colours you would like.
Featuring large, flat stainless-steel buckles that sit close to the wool liner, ensuring a close fit, without bulk under the leg or digging in the sides. Herman Oak is super strong however as an extra layer of security, I have reinforced under the buckle area with webbing as well.
Dee rings come standard for ease of attaching breast plates or other training aids - if you don't want them on yours, please just comment at checkout and I can leave them off when I make it.

Three standard sizes available - 28, 30 and 32 inches - as well as a custom option. Please ensure if you select custom option that you let me know the exact size you want (measured from buckle tip to buckle tip).
