These reins now come with water loops and ties, or a buckle setup (the two most popular set ups for this thickness rein) - and there is no price difference. Sewn from approx 1 foot along the rein, to create a flatter, thicker feel - for those who like the idea of the soft rope, but don't want round. Flat sewn width is approx 21mm and depth around 10mm. Because these are made from 14mm double braided rope, they also have more weight and tend to keep my own hands a bit more 'grounded'.
The rope is UV resistant, colour fast, washable, non-abrasive on your hands (which is why I started using this style of rein in the first place!) and has an approx breaking strain of 3400kgs. Super strong and durable; won't rot or mildew, doesn't absorb water and is not affected by sweat (the rope is made for salt water!); doesn't stretch or shrink and stays flexible and pliable over their life.
$150 per set plus post (but you only pay post on the first set though if you're buying more than one!)
Options - 6ft or 7ft, plus custom lengths
Materials + Care
I use the best materials I can find, from local suppliers where possible. For saddle pads, please only use cool water and mild wool wash and never use a washing machine. A soft rubber curry comb may be used to remove dirt and hair, however I recommened the nozzle of your vaccuum for general dust and hair.
Postage + Returns
Where personalisation is required, please allow 3 days before postage (there may be times I am away and this will always be announced on my facebook site so please follow to get regular updates. Where no personalisation is required, these usually go out the following day except on weekends. Returns are only accepted for workmanship faults, not change of mind.
