Good news for those who have ordered leather girths... my supplies have arrived so I have a girth making weekend coming up! Apologies for the delay but they will be made and, on their way to you soon.
I had a client ask if I could make an alternative to the leather/wool felt girth for them. They live in pretty harsh country and wanted something that nothing would stick to (think long grass, tall weed and burrs....)
So this one is made from dark brown Anti-Gall material that is webbing reinforced. The Anti-Gall has a padded waffle weave texture and allows for both airflow and grip, dries fast and can be wiped clean with anti-bac between horses.
The buckles I've used on this one have rollers on both sides and are stainless steel for maximum durability and ease of cinching. Two dees are in the very centre, for attaching a breastplate or training aid (note they are brass).
Herman Oak first grade skirting leather attaches the buckle to the Anti-Gall and frames each end, for a clean, quality look and feel. Hand cut and sewn with tulip detail.
Lengths are measured on this one from tip of roller to tip of roller.
